Beaches
One should visit the Prainha, Sao Goncalinho and Sao Goncalo beaches in the direction of Angra dos Reis. There are small boats that take tourists from Sao Goncalo to the Pelada Pequena Island, which is a beautiful place and has a popular bar. The oldest church in Paraty is located in Paraty-Mirim which lies in the direction of Ubatuba.
Waterfalls
There are some waterfalls like Corisco, Toboga and Pedra Branca on the river on way to the mountain ridge where one can have a refreshing bath.
Trindade
Trindade is a close by town that has 7 marvelous beaches. Cachadaco is a remarkable spot where natural pools filled with sea water are created by huge rock formations.
There is a real natural aquarium where it is possible to swim close to the fishes. The Pelados Beach or the Figueria Beach is a small beach that can be reached by trails.
Here nudism is practiced. The Cachadaco Beach is a large beach that has some camping regions but there is no electricity. There is a presence of lifeguards on this beach. Meio Beach has a small size, the waters are calm and there are some bars.
The Ranchos Beach or Fora Beach is large beach that has several bars where drinks and delicacies are served. Cepilho Beach can be reached by car and has a parking lot. This is also a surfer’s beach in the region.
