Ermida do Bonfim is a church that was constructed by Manoel Francisco Gomes in 1780. It was built on an island exactly towards the front of Praia do Bonfim. One can access this church via Estrada do Contorno. This is a narrow road that leads up to several beautiful beaches of the region. On the back part of the island, Surinam trees are found in plenty and these raise the beauty and charm of this place.
