The Museum of History and Geography is one of the important museums in Aracaju. Here, one can view a display of igacabas or the Indian funeral urns. Also exhibited are the skeleton of a giant sloth and a huge collection of fossils. The history of Sergipe is preserved at the Sergipe Memorial.
