Brazil, as a country, is associated with colour and carnival. Every city has its own particular way of celebrating the Carnival. The most famous ones are those celebrated in Rio de Janeiro, Salvador, Reclife and Olinda. In fact, the best time to visit Brazil is during the time of the Rio Carnival. The Rio Carnival alone attracts more than 300,000 visitors.
Umbanda—Festival of the Goddess of the Sea, celebrated on the Copacabana beach, has worshippers of the goddess performing unorthodox rituals alongside the New Year revellers.
The Festival do Rio BR is one of the most important audiovisual events in Latin America, during which numerous screenings and seminars are held by professionals from all over the world.
