Itaipu Dam in Foz do Iguacu is the largest hydroelectric dam in the world. At the Reception Center of the dam, an audiovisual about the dam and the power station can be attended. The dam is eight kilometers wide and at present there are 19 turbines. It has been planned that in the future there would be 20 turbines and an installed capacity of 14 MegaWatt. This majestic dam has been constructed across he Parana River.
