Porto Seguro,a municipality in the state of Bahia in Brazil and is located in the Central Atlantic coast. A major tourist destination in the recent times, it is the place where the Portuguese explorer Pedro Cabral set foot in Brazil. Located midway between Salvador and Vitoria it is spread over 0.9 square miles of area.
