The Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro adjoins some of the most attractive beaches in the world. The Botafogo beach is one such spectacular beach. It is located between three hills namely Mundo Novo, Morro de São João and Santa Marta.
The surrounding area is populated with high and middle class people. The beach is located in Guanabara Bay. The Sugarloaf Mountain and Urca Peninsula protect the beach from the Atlantic Ocean.
The beach and the surrounding area offer a mesmerizing view at night. The residential area is lit up with attractive lighting. This is a secluded place in Brazil. Here people can enjoy various water sports. Boating is a common water activity near the beach.
This small beach attracts the residents of the city everyday. The road running along the boundary of the beach makes it look more beautiful. Summer is the ideal season to visit this place.
