Welcome to Rio de Janeiro: white sands, year-round sunshine, samba, parties and all at very affordable prices make Brazilian beaches some of the best in the World! They can be enjoyed any time of the year!
Not to be missed around Rio de Janeiro, there's first of all Copacabana beach. It has 4 km of pristine, wide white sand to relax on! Activities on this beach include volleyball, watersports and all night partying! Certainly a jewel on the crown of Rio's beaches!
Then Ipanema beach, just along the coast a little way from Copacabana, has a reputation of being a more quiet resort than its neighbour! It's definetely the beach to go to if you want to see the girls parading the latest designs in tropical beachwear! The activities here include the traditional Brazilian favourite volley ball, then the outstanding soft white sand and cool blue waters make the beach ideal for swimming, getting a tan, doing some relaxing sunbathing and overall chilling out!
Another beautiful beach in Rio is Joatinga beach, the most hidden and, for a lot of cariocas, the best beach in Rio! For sure the safest, located between Sao Conrado and Barra de Tijuca (wild beach in Rio). To enter it you have to enter the Condominium at the Estrada do Joa; there will be guards letting you in and don't forget that it's a great place for surfing!
