Well, Cariocas are festive people and nightlife in Rio de Janeiro has a myriad possibilities to suit every taste! To start a glam night out, Ipanema is where you'll find excellent cafes and bars, high rank restaurants and hot glam nightclubs.
Ipanema sums up the best of what Rio has to offer. It's also a sophisticated shopping venue during the day; you might get a drink here and remember that up until midnight clubs are still not opening! To find glam venues also check out the many flyers distributed on the beach and in most cool boutiques here.
You might try glamorous Cristal Bar that's a fine place for meeting people, drinking and dancing or Baronetti also in Ipanema.
Baronetti is more than a lounge club and drinks are very good; you might try the Baronesa or the lovely Lagoa Azul. The place has a white modern interior, it's on two floors and there's a large dancefloor where DJs play a very good mix of music sessions to dance until the break of dawn!
Rio de Janeiro hosts clubs for every taste and fancy and the area of Copacabana is also very good for glam venues, bars and nightclubs of course!
