Rio Branco Palace was formerly known as Casa dos Governadores and at present, it houses Bahiatursa, the State Tourist Office and also a beautiful monument which commemorates the republican Governors. This historic building sits on a commanding position and overlooks the bay and is designed in a neo classical style. It is open for public viewing.
