Guarulhos International Airport, also known as Cumbica International Airport, is situated in Cumbica in the city of Guarulhos.
It is about twenty-five km from Sao Paulo’s downtown area. It is considered to be the busiest airport in Brazil for passenger traffic. Covering over 3,425 acres of land, it has its own system of highways.
The airport consists of two terminals, TPS1 and TPS2. Thirty-nine national and international airlines connect Sao-Paulo to twenty-eight different countries, and to more than a hundred cities in Brazil. One wing from each terminal operates international flights with airlines such as Aerolíneas Argentinas, Air China, Aeromexico, Delta Airlines, United Airlines, Air Canada and South African Airways. Similarly, one wing from both terminals handles domestic flights with, Gol, OceanAir and TAM.
The airport is fully equipped with all modern facilities for comfort and relaxation. Several restaurants, hotels, shopping centers, business meeting points, internet cafes, a bank counter, post office and ATM centers can all be found within the premises.
