Museu Brasileiro de Escultura or the Brazilian Museum of Sculpture (MuBE) is a private institute situated in Jardim Europa, Sao Paulo. Inaugurated in 1995, the museum aims at disseminating diverse segments of art, focusing on the sculpture and 3 dimensional media.
As of 2009, it had 70,000 visitors. The building where the museum is housed in was exclusively designed by the architect Paulo Mendes da Rocha. This semi underground building is along with a garden designed by Burle Marx. This museum is worth of a visit for its landscape design and architectural works.
The exhibition hall of this museum is below the street level, made of mainly iron and cement. Overall, the museum building is impressive and on weekends, one can even find a market stall on the upper level of the building.
