The Museu de Arte Moderna de São Paulo was founded by Pietro Maria Bardi and journalist Assis Chateaubriand. It was opened in 1968 and designed by architect Lina Bo Bardi. It has two galleries which present changing exhibits of modern work, paintings, video, sculpture and textile too. There is also a small library along with an amazing collection of art books in a number of languages. There is a sculpture garden around the museum which has 28 works by different artists from Brazil.
