Pinheiros is considered as the oldest district of the city of São Paulo, Brazil. Its history dates back to some 430 years. The district is situated on the bank of the famous Rio Pinheiros and lies opposite to the Ciudade Universitária.
This middle-class neighborhood has a high population of students. The district features a number of attractions, shopping destinations and cafes. Pinheiros is also home to many nightlife attractions, bars and restaurants that are visited by locals and visitor alike.
Flea Markets offering exquisite antiques and art works are held here on Saturdays in Praça Benedito Calixto.
