Rancagua: Attractions and more...
Rancagua is a city that is pretty old and has many historic places, which have many stories related to them. The oldest place to visit here is the Rancagua’s Cathedral which was developed even before the city got its current name. It is a famous cathedral and the building is a marvelous structure of architecture. There is also some war monuments created in the memory of the men who fought for the country during the ‘Disaster of Rancagua’ in the year 1814. The town is also filled with shoppers as it has some very good and well stocked shopping complexes. It always has admirers that are in awe of this cultural centre. The ‘O’Higgins’ region of this place is famous for its extensive vineyards. Also the area has some archeological sites that can be talked about. It has some very good sport complexes and centers and many activities take place here the whole year round. Another site is the ‘Largest Underground Copper Mine’ which is not to be missed at all.
