El Tatio Geyser Field lies within Andes Mountains on the northern side of Chile at an elevation of 4200 meters over sea level. In spite of having possessed several geysers, not even a single erupt is all that high. The greatest eruption was reported to be around 6 meters in terms of height. A wreckage has been found on site from one of the oldest projects to harness geothermal power.
