Catedral de San Marcos had been designed by ‘Alexandre Gustav Eiffel’, on Plaza Colon. It was originally built with the objective of erecting a seaside resort pertaining to Ancon. Instead, church was utilized for replacing original cathedral that had been destroyed in earthquake which had occurred in the year 1888.
