Tourist Guide Osorno
Osorno is a city situated in the southern region of Chile. This city is the capital of the Osorno Province which is located in the Los Lagos region. Osorno is 260 kilometers towards the West of San Carlos de Bariloche (a city in Argentina), 110 kilometers towards the North of Puerto Montt (the regional capital) and 945 kilometers towards the South of the Santiago (the capital of the country. Osorno is joined with San Carlos de Bariloche through the Cardenal Antonio Samore Pass by International route 215. The culture of this place is marked by many festivals like the Milk and Meat Fair and the SAGO-FISUR Cattle Fair. On 18th September each year, the Chilean Independence Day is celebrated by fireworks.
As per the 2002 census, the population of Osorno was 0.15 million.
