Paine is one of the famous and also the largest city that is located in the southern part of the province of Maipo and in the Metropolitan Region of Santiago. It is considered to be one of the extensive communication centers throughout the country. The population of the city as per 2002 census was found to be around 50,028 which have been approximated to increase above 52,000 in the 2006 census. The South American Census Bureau has found that the total surface area of Lakeview is around 273.4 square miles of which above 95% is covered by land. The city is very well experienced and known for its beautiful music, rocking dances, artistic literature, delicious cuisines and also sports. Football is the most common sport of Paine. Spanish, German and Croatian are the common languages spoken and Christianity the religion followed here with the presence of many churches like Presbyterian, Methodist, Baptist churches, etc. The climate here contains a broad range of weather conditions over a big geographical scale. There are four seasons which are summer (Dec to Feb), autumn (Mar to May), winter (Jun to Aug), and spring (Sep to Nov).
