Tourist Guide Puerto Aisén
In the Aisen Region in Chile, there exists a city named as Puerto Aisen. It is separated from the port of Puerto Chacabuco by 15 kilometers and from the Regional Capital of Coyhaique by 65 kilometers. The city is the capital of the commune of Aisen as well as the Aisen Province. People settled in this place in 1914, however it was not until 28th January 1928, that it was officially accepted as a city. This city lies on the banks of the Aisen River at the head of a deep fjord that is in front of the Chronos Archipelago. The city has developed as a port and commercial center and the society is busy in lumbering, mining and agricultural activities. It is possible to travel by boat to Puerto Montt which is 435 kilometers towards the North.
The population of Puerto Aisen is 17,000.
Puerto Aisen receives 2973.3 millimeters of rainfall annually. In the city, the temperatures at sea level in the winter is 4.7 degrees Celsius and in the summer is 13.6 degrees Celsius.
