Laguna San Rafael is a small inlet of the Pacific Ocean. It has a width of 10 kilometers and length of 15 kilometers. The main attraction of this lagoon is the San Rafael Glacier which is 3000 years old. Many floating blocks of ice can be seen in this lagoon. The glacier San Valentin also exists. In 1979, the UNESCO announced that Laguna San Rafael was a Biosphere Reserve.
