Situated in Patagonia Lake General Carrera is also termed as Lago Buenos Aires and is shared by Argentina and Chile. The lake has a surface area of 1850 sqKm of which 970 sqkm comes in the Chilean Aisén Region. The lake has glacial origin and the Andes mountain range surrounds the lake. The lake is famous as a fishing destination. Trout and salmonidae in are found in abundance in the lake.
