Magdalena Island can be referred to as one of the colonies of penguins in Straits of Magellan. It has obtained designation of a ‘national reserve’ owing to its significance in the form of a ‘penguin breeding site’. Moreover, it’s managed by Corporacion Nacional Forestal. It’s a government agency. One can adopt a penguin and support the initiatives of this organization.
