The city of Girardot is the third largest city in the district of Cundinamarca which is a province of the Colombia state. The Girardot city is a very important commercial and industrial region in the state of Colombia. There are several industries and commercial centers in the vicinity of the city which makes it the biggest industrial city in the district of Cundinamarca. As compared to other cities in the state of Colombia, Girardot has a large amount of land available for cultivation and agriculture. Agriculture is also a main occupation of the people in the city. Out of the many agricultural products produced in the city some are sesame, cereals, cotton, sorghum and corn. The city also has several mines in the vicinity of the city which adds to its economy. The total population of the Girardot city is around 184,075 which live in a total area of 49.8 square miles. The climate here is a bit hot and tropical and the average temperature of the city is 33 degree Celsius.
