Tourist Guide Manizales
Manizales is a city and also a municipality situated in central Columbia. It is also the capital of Department of Caldas and a part of the region of Colombian Coffee-Growers Axis which is near to the Nevado Del Ruiz volcano.
The city of Manizales has an abrupt topography. It is built in a mountain region with a number of steep slopes and ridgelines. The city is also combined with seismic instability of the area and requires architectural adaptations and public works too for making the city a safer place to stay. In spite of Manizales having difficult topography, there are numerous coffee plantations in the fertile lands.
At present, the city is known to be the main center for the production of Colombian coffee and also an important hub for higher educational institutions. It is also located in the north side of the Columbia Coffee-Growers Axis and near to the volcano Nevado Del Ruiz which is at a height of 2153 meters.
