Very close from Soacha is the Museo del Oro. The highlights of this museum are the artifacts of the pre-Columbian era, emerald jewelry and the world’s richest collections of gold. This museum is situated on the premises of the Banco de la Republica. Almost 30,000 pieces of gold work are exhibited in this museum.
