Fuerte Olimpo is a very small city and there is not much scope of expansion here. But still, this town is visited by many people as the surroundings can be useful. There are good ports that are built nearby. Esperanza and Leda are some of the good ports and are used for trade purposes. These are very well designed and also make use of the latest technology that is available. The rides that are offered into the rivers through the usage of canoes are another interesting feature of this town. The other place here that leaves its mark in the tourism industry is the Maria Auxiliadora; a cathedral built from complete stone is a masterpiece of architecture. There is also an observatory based on the three neighboring hills of Fuerto Olimpo and is called ‘Tres Hermanos’. Also there is a museum for the spread of regional culture and talent. Its name is the ‘Virgen Santísima’ which holds presentations of various crafts. There are rides on motor boats available on the Paraguay River to enjoy its special flora and fauna.
