El Misti, better known as Guagua-Putina, can be described as a ‘stratovolcano’ situated in Peru’s southern part, adjoining Arequipa. This thing has 3 concentric craters. The crater on the inner side witnesses fumaroles activity. Adjacent to inner crater, rare ‘Inca artifacts’ and 6 Inca mummies had been found in the year 1998 at the time of month-long excavation.
