Peru : Food and Drink

Peruvian cuisine is a blend of Spanish and Amerindian cuisines with influences from the Afrikaans, Chinese, Japanese, Arabs and Italians. The cuisine uses a wide variety of ingredients and cooking techniques. Seafood plays an important role in the Peruvian cuisine. Ceviche, shrimp marinated in lemon juice, is one of the most popular dishes. Deserts like suspiro or manjar blanco are quite popular.

The favourite drink of the Peruvians is pisco sour.
