Barranco district had been founded on 26th of October, 1874. It holds the credit of being Lima’s smallest district. Moreover, this place was always amongst the favorite summer resorts with respect to upper and middle class residents as well as foreigners. Barranco is known by bohemian character on its part and also home of numerous Peruvian writers such as Mario Vargas Llosa.
