The dry season is the best time to visit Machu Picchu and is coincides with the high season. In order to avoid the crowds, one can visit this city in late April, May, June and early October. There are more crowds during the month of July and August. There are two main seasons in Peru, the dry season and the rainy season. The rainy season runs between runs from October to April.
