Pucallpa or “the red land” is situated in eastern Peru on the banks of the Ucayali River, a major tributary feeding the Amazon River.  Pucallpa is the capital of Ucayali region, the Calleria District and the Coronel Portillo Province.  This city is an amazing city to explore for its numerous natural reserves as well as the botanical Garden, Chullachaqui Botanical Garden and many other places of interest.

One can enjoy the experience of knowing the history of this city by visiting the Museum of Chipibos ceramics or visit the natural reserve full of wild animals of the jungle.  This place is also an interesting place worth visiting in Pucallpa.  The Yarinacocha Lake along with its Chipibo cities is the most wonderful sights worth visiting in the city.   There is also the Usco Ayar’s gallery if you want t stay indoors at somepoint!

Back in the wild outdoors, there is the Parque Natural zoo and the Agustin Rivas, both amazing places to be whilst in Pucallpa.
