The Sillustani Ruins is situated 32 kilometers from Puno and these are the Chullpas of Sillustani. These ruins were beautifully set on a peninsula in Lake Umayo which was surrounded by stark altiplano. The Chullpas were built by Collas, who spoke Aymara. They were tribes which dominated the Titicaca region prior to the Incas. Each of the towers has the remains of Colla along with their riches.
