Peru has a favourable climate throughout the year. However, the best time to visit is during the dry season from May to September. The rainy season, from November to March, is not an ideal time for outdoor activities like trekking.
Events and Entertainment
The nation celebrates Labour Day on 1 May which is followed by Independence Day celebrations on 28 and 29 July. Día de Santa Rosa de Lima is celebrated on 30 August. Immaculate Conception is on 8 December. Peru hosts several events that have social and cultural themes. The nation hosts the Virgen de la Candelaria which honours the patron of Puno.
