Puerto Rico celebrates Three King’s Day on 6 January and Martin Luther King Day on 17 January. The Abolition of Slavery is celebrated on 22 March while Labour Day is celebrated on 5 September. Veterans Day is celebrated on 11 November, and this is followed by the Thanksgiving Day celebrations.
Puerto Rico hosts several cultural and social events like the San Sebastian Street Festival, a three-day event celebrated with artisans, food and thousands of visitors. The Ponce Carnival, one of the oldest festivals of Puerto Rico is followed by Casals Festival which is a musical event celebrating the legacy of Pablo Casals. Cinco Días con Nuestra Tierra, an agricultural event, and Vieques Cultural Festival are popular Puerto Rican festivals.
