Tourist Guide Colonia
In southwestern Uruguay, Colonia is an important province and a Portuguese settlement. Colonia Del Sacramento is the capital city of Colonia. It is the second oldest city. Buenos Aires is very close to Colonia and hence tourists coming from Argentina use this as the main entrance to Colonia. Carmelo, Juan Lacaze and Nueva Helvecia are a few of the major cities in Colonia. 3.2 was the average household size and 96.7 males were for every 100 females. The houses are colorful and have Portuguese designs. It can be approached by land and water. It possesses a tropical weather and a pleasant climate. The temperature ranges between 15 degree c and 30 degrees c. Summer prevails during December and January and peak winter is in June-July. Colonia has an overall pleasant season and hence it is the best tourist spot at any time of the year. Craft and art shops, beautiful restaurants, harbors and museums attract many travelers. Diary products are mainly produced in this region.
