Termas del Arapey, or Arapey Springs, is a resort located in the department of Salto in northwest Uruguay. Thermal tourism in Uruguay has become extremely popular and the thermal grounds near Salto, particularly Termas del Arapey, have become a major tourist attraction.
Situated over the edge of the Arapey River, the Arapey Springs are regarded as the oldest establishment of its kind in the country. The climate of this region is similar to that of Salto, which is typically temperate; the warmest months are January and February and the coldest month is June.
