Venezuela has a range of activities and attractions, from the sun-kissed beaches of the Caribbean to the snow-capped peaks of Andes. Merida, in Andes, is a small town bustling with tourists. The nearby mountains provide for some scintillating adventure sports.
The capital city of Caracas has several attractions to offer. The Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Caracas must be visited for its vast and exquisite collection of paintings, sculptures and photographs by Venezuelan and international artists alike. Located in the historic centre of the city, is the Catedral de Caracas, which boasts of not only a beautiful colonial structure but also some fine furniture, sculptures and paintings.
Bask in the glory of nature with the Angel Falls (the world’s highest waterfall) and the Sapo Falls. For a relaxed day at the beach, visit the Isla Margarita. Animal lovers will especially enjoy the wildlife excursions in Los Llanos.
