Barinas is located in the western part of Venezuela. The city of Barinas is also the capital Illanos.
The city was founded by Captain Juan Andres Varela. In the year 1786 the Barinas state was established in the territories of Barinas and Apure. The coty at that time formed the important bastion of the aptriots during the War of independence. Cristobal Mindoza was the president of Venezuela and lived and practiced his profession over here.
