Ciudad Universitaria or the University City of Caracas is the main campus of the Central University of Venezuela.
Designed by Carlos Raul Villanueva, a Venezuelan architect, this historic building was declared as a World Heritage Site in 2000 by UNESCO. This building is known as a masterpiece of architecture and urban planning.
It is also the only university campus which has been designed by a single architect. This building campus was constructed between 1945 and 1960.
