Officially named Parque Jovìto Villalba, this park was opened in 1983 just right out of the Metro station of Gato Negro and covers 46 hectares with sport fields, playgrounds, green spaces and numerous bars and kiosks, plus an artificial lake, an amphitheater and an open air auditorium.
The park is home to several species of birds, like jays, canaries and southwestern willows, or to mammals like foxes and rabbits, to marsupials and reptiles.
You can also take a tour of the Museo Jacobo Borges which is within the park, where exhibitions of the most important artists of Venezuela are frequently held.
The park is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 09:00 to 16:30. and access will cost Bs.200 for adults and Bs.80 for children.
