Venezuelan cuisine is very easy and tasty, mainly consisting of corn. Fish, beef and chicken are very popular, generally served with rice. Some traditional Venezuelan dishes are Arepa (plain fried corn pancake), Pabellon (meat and rice) and Hallaca (a traditional Christmas dish).
Batidos (thick juice) and merengada (milkshakes) are some popular Venezuelan drinks. Beer is the most popular alcoholic beverage. Venezuelans also like cuba libre (rum and coke).
