Tourist Guide Isla el Gran Roque
Isla el Gran Roque, the greatest island of the Archipelago of the Roques, is located in Venezuela. Located in the northern part, this island is also known as the Great Roque. With a population of around 1,000 inhabitants, the island is where most of the population resides.
The city experiences a mild subtropical climate characterized by a dry and a wet season. The wet season lasts from May to November and the dry season from December to April.
The area can be divided into two zones—a small mountainous chain that extends throughout the northern coast and salt water lagoons that are subject to constant flooding.
Tourism is the main source of economy of the entire island. The island attracts a large number of foreign tourists all round the year.
