Tourist Guide Maracay
Located in Central Venezuela is Maracay, the capital of the Aragua State. Maracay is primarily a commercial and industrial centre with excellent transportation systems and infrastructure.
Maracay’s temperature fluctuates between 14°C and 28°C, and rainfall ranges approximately between 25 mm/month and 710 mm/month.
Maracay was officially established in the early eighteenth century in northern Venezuela. Its economy improved under the leadership of Juan Vicente Gomez, whose remains are stored in the Mausoleo de Gómez.
The population of Maracay and its surroundings is estimated to be over a million. Urban residents are chiefly involved in the production of paper, textiles and tobacco. The suburban population primarily engages in agriculture, with sugarcane and coffee being two of the main products.
