Overall Guide : Spring and earlier summer is the best time to be in Mendoza, the temperature in summer ranges from 18° C to 33° C, days are hot and night are fresh. We recommend you to visit Mendoza in January and February... more when you will enjoy “The Fiesta National de la Vendimia” . The main festival begins on the first Saturday of March and continues until the beginning of April with more music, dance, parades, the crowning of the “Queen of the Vendimia” . Mendoza is a city with historic tradition: keeps many memories of Sant Martin’s epic in the Cerro de la Gloria (Hill of the glory) El Plumerillo, San Martin Park , and the Museum. One of the most beautiful place in Mendoza is Plaza Espana, that invites you to a quiet stroll to enjoy the gardens and the fountains. Uspallata is a beautiful valley with the remains of the pre – Colombians mining site; Puente del Inca is one of Argentina’s natural wonders, is a natural stone bridge over the Rio Mendoza. Some typical Mendoza dishes are: fried pasties, “patitas aliñadas” , beef stew, arrope syrup, tableta mendocina, humita en chala and the famous “tortitas raspadas” (scraped cookies). The climate is continental, sunny and dry in the entire territory of the province, with warm summers and relatively cold winters.
