Hobart is the capital city of Tasmania, Australia and is the second oldest capital after Sydney. It is also the home for Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra. Hobart is filled with tourist spots. Some of them are Louisa’s Walk which is a strolling theater, Penitentiary Chapel that contains Court Rooms, Chapel, Tunnels and Holding Cells, Salamanca Market that includes sandstone buildings, Theatre Royal that presents music and dance, Mount Wellington that is often covered with snow, Battery Point which has historic houses and restaurants, South Bruny National Park that features cliffs, lush green rainforests and remote beaches, Mona Museum and Art Gallery, St. David’s Cathedral which showcases the works of George Bodley who was an Victorian Architect, Seven Mile Beach , Remarkable Cave, Shot Tower and North Hobart that has a wide range of dining experience. The must visit restaurants are Solo Pasta and Pizza, Daci and Daci Bakers, Ivory Café, Me Wah and Solicit.

Overall Guide : From among Hobart’s attractions, Sullivan’s Cove is an important historical site as its marks the place of the initial settlement. The region around Mt Wellington is known for its biodiversity and is a haven for nature lovers. Also, there are... more a number of vineyards surrounding Hobart, the most renowned ones being Moorilla Estate and Cascade Brewery, the oldest brewery in Australia. The Moorilla Museum of Antiques also draws a lot of tourists every year. Built across River Derwent is the Tasman Bridge, which one of Hobart’s popular landmarks. Another place of interest is the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens with a wide collection of historical and the most unusual trees. It also has built heritages and is a popular spot. Hobart is host to the famous Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race which is a part of the Hobart Summer Festival. It is basically is a food and wine festival that begins soon after Christmas and extends till mid-January.
