Seventy-Five Mile Beach in Fraser Island was named because it is approximately 75 miles long. Because of constant movement of sea and sand, it is not actually 75 miles long, but 75.173 Mile Beach. The 75 Mile Beach runs most of the east coast of Fraser Island. This is an extremely beautiful beach and acts as a runway and highway too. One can enjoy lots of recreational activities near this beach.
