Salzburg Monuments and Historic Buildings: Hellbrunn Castle

Hellbrunn Castle is few kilometres far from Salzburg centre and is easily reachable thanks to the efficient public transports. It was a summer residence built by Marcus Sitticus, in the first half of the XVII century and represents an example of Baroque architecture. The castle is richly furnished and open to the public. The main attraction is a fascinating park with waterworks. In the garden there is also an artificial cave: also inside it, there are some sudden water sprays coming from the walls at different levels and with different intensity.
