Ibirapuera is a very arboreal urban park considered the “Lung of São
Paulo”, where paulistas go to take a walk and practice sports. It has
several artistic spaces – MAC, Museu de Arte Contemporânea (Contemporary
Art Museum), and MAM, Museu de Arte Moderna (Modern Art Museum). It also has
Oca, a building created by Oscar Niemeyer, where great expositions are performed,
and Pavilhão da Bienal de Arte de São Paulo (Art Biennial Pavilion
of São Paulo).
Ibirapaquera Park is a huge urban park in the city and has large area for jogging, walking and for leisure. There is also a convention center at the park. This park was inaugurated in 1954 and is of 345 acres... more of land. It is considered as the second biggest park in the city and is open year round. Some of the special features of the park include the Grande Marquise, the Armando de Arruda Pereira Pavilion and many such attractions.
