Basilique Notre Dame or the Cathedral minor basilica in Quebec, Canada is the primate church and seat of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Quebec.
This is the oldest historic building to see in North America and the first to be elevated to minor basilica in 1874 by Pope Pius IX. Moreover, it is a part of the UNESCO World Heritage of Historic district of Old Quebec.
Throughout the centuries, it was twice destroyed by fire since 1647. Designed by Jean Baillairgé in Neoclassical style, this site is worth visiting.
